Her Majesty is better travelled than any British Monarch before her. Within the Commonwealth alone, she has made over 150 visits during her reign. She has also visited over 100 countries as Monarch, including Poland in 1996, home to quality lingerie brands Roza, Beauty Night, Gracya, Irall, Me Seduce and Wolbar. Ballerina and Gabriella hosiery are both manufactured there too. The Queen visited Warsaw and loved Krackow.
Queen Elizabeth II also visited France 13 times, home to Provocative Lingerie – more than any other country in Europe. Along with Prince Phillip, she has also visited Italy four times, where Control Body Shapewear is made, in The Lombardy Region. Of course she took time to have an audience with The Pope.
When our Queen visited America in 1983 where President Reagan, formerly a Hollywood film star, hosted the monarch during a reception in Hollywood attended by the biggest A-list celebrities of the time. The president sat all of his invited British actors, including Julie Andrews on the Queens table for dinner. This did not go down well with the American actors! Just down the road, Shirley of Hollywood Lingerie would have been busy manufacturing its latest products ready for dispatch to Alterego in Yorkshire!
Back here in the UK, we have been awarded a special Bank holiday, giving us a full four days to put up our bunting, fly our Union Jacks, and get together for street parties and barbeques. (Maybe a sherry or two). Because of this, Alterego will be closed on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June and will be back to normal on Monday 6th June 2022
